Hello,
I am sorry for the long period between posts, but to say the least, I have been pretty busy. A couple days ago I released my second game called Make The Match! It started as a Unity project in the C# programming language. Then I found that many plugins in the Unity store are written in Unity Javascript. So I learned Unity Javascript and converted the app to Javascript. When I was almost done with the app, I being a perfectionist, was not happy with how the app looked.

I realized Unity is meant to be a 3d game engine and not a 2d game engine. So I converted to Cocos2d and the Objective-C going back to what I know best. This was a great decision because it gave me much more flexibility and I was tons more comfortable writing the code. So, moral of this story? Well it is not that simple to state actually. I picked Unity because it was a high powered cross platform game engine. I liked how I could write code once and deploy to tons of devices. QUANTITY. But there were definite drawbacks. I was new to the engine, and it was not made for what I was trying to do. So I moved to Cocos2d. I knew the language, and I had worked with it before. QUALITY. At the end of the day I think the moral is truly do not sacrifice quality for quantity.
From now on I will try to post more often. (Fingers crossed) I may start off writing posts on Objective-C for you all to learn. I may post about just a tip or a trick that I learned each day. Please follow me on Facebook to get updates on each post! https://www.facebook.com/thepokobros
As always feel free to comment on this post. And feel free to contact me through the contact page on this site, or at my email: mailto:[email protected]
Another feature of this site I wanted to start doing was to feature different developers to get their story and their names known. So feel free to contact me at the email address or above, my Facebook page or through the contact page on this site if you would like to be featured!
Thank You!
