Hello!
When I began iPhone and iPad development, I had a hard time getting started. Not only are the resources scarce, the look of code was just flat out intimidating. I ended up reading 3 books, and becoming a frequent viewer on Ray Wenderlich's website. I started out with a great Objective-C book called: Flying With Objective-C. This gave me a very good foundation of Objective-C. Then I went a book called: Programming in Objective-C.

That book strengthened my knowledge. Being ambitious and not knowing any better I immediately dove right into game programming with Cocos2d using this book: iOS Game Programming with Xcode and Cocos2d. Now I was ready to start my first game... or so I thought. Starting too soon, I referenced many tutorials and this slowed the development process greatly. This isn't necessarily a bad thing but it is not the fastest way to create your very first game. So all in all, learning so much about Objective-C and surrounding myself in the Xcode environment was how I learned to code. The advice I would give all of you beginning programmers is to:

- Read, read, read! --> learn as much as you can
- Complete Immersion --> code a little bit everyday, fix your mistakes, this is the only way you will learn!
- START!! --> starting is the hardest part, but with a little bit of courage I know you can do it!
Thank you so much again for all of your support and feedback!
